The Gadsden flag, Don't Tread on Me, was created by American statesman and general, Christopher Gadsden. It was adopted quickly by the Continental Marines as a motto flag. This is a very historically significant flag representing the independence of our nation.
The design depicts a rattlesnake coiled up and ready to strike. The intended historical message was that America, like the rattlesnake, would not back down, nor would they attack, unless their rights were infringed on.
The high thread count embroidered flag patch creates a vintage look. Mesh is soft and bill has a natural bend. This drifter gray hat has a salt-wash to create a weathered, heavily sun bleached look, making each hat uniquely different.
Adjustable plastic strap on back. Cotton & Nylon.
