Shipping Information & Policies
Orders are normally processed Monday through Friday for shipment within 24-72 hours of receipt (for in stock items). Delivery time from Maryland to your address is usually within 2-7 business days of shipment (depending upon your location). Some Maryland addresses, and some areas of surrounding States may be delivered within one business day of shipment. Some items may be shipped after the 72 hour period. You will be notified by email of any extended delay in shipment. Items that are out of stock or on backorder will be shipped as soon as our stock is replenished. Seasonal shipping & delivery date specials are offered as a customer service courtesy only and cannot be guaranteed due to factors beyond our control, i.e. delays in transit by USPS or UPS, weather etc.

Standard delivery is via USPS or UPS (See ALL RATES BELOW). Additional services such as Next Day Air, 2nd Day Air etc. are available (Please call 410-871-2498 for Next Day, 2nd Day rates). Local delivery of large orders within the Baltimore-Washington metropolitan region is also available by courier. P.O. Boxes: If the only address option is a P.O. Box and the package would normally be sent via UPS (as determined by us based upon the weight and size of the package) we can ship the package via the USPS but you will be responsible for any additional shipping fee imposed upon us (the difference in fees between UPS and the USPS).
Shipping charges to AK, HI, PR, APO & FPO (Military) addresses may be higher. We will send you an e-mail for your approval of any additional charge. Please provide correct shipping addresses. We will not be responsible for packages that are undeliverable and/or returned to us due to incorrect addresses or refusal of delivery by recipient. You will incur a second shipping charge for any re-shipment of a returned package that was due to the recipient refusing delivery or due to an incorrect address on the original order form. You will also be charged the fee the shipper charges us for the return and/or address corrections. If there are any special instructions for shipping your order, place them in the "Gift Card/Special Instructions" yellow box on the order page. SHIPPING CHARGES ARE PER ADDRESS. Multiple addresses will each incur a separate shipping charge.
International Customers: Place your order online as usual. If your Country is not listed in the drop down box, enter your Country's name in the address space and leave the Country space set to US. If you do not have a zip code, enter 11111 in the zip code box. The shipping cost will be adjusted for your country and you will be sent an e-mail for approval of the adjusted order total. All orders are shipped via USPS First Class Mail or International Priority Mail. Insurance is recommended but optional and to be paid for by the buyer. We will not be responsible for lost or damaged packages without insurance. Please be aware that your order may be subject to duty fees and other taxes in your country. You are responsible for any taxes, customs or duty fees imposed by your country. Contact your local customs office for information on those fees.

Heavyweight items, multiple Gift Baskets, Custom Orders, oversized items (items shipped in boxes considered oversize by UPS) & multiple shipping addresses will incur a shipping charge. Expedited shipping will incur a shipping charge based upon current UPS or USPS rates. We will send you an email for your approval of any shipping charge incurred.

INCORRECT ADDRESSES, RETURNS OR REFUSAL OF PACKAGE: Any FREE SHIPPING package that is returned to us due to an incorrect address, refusal by recipient or returned for any reason will not be eligible for the free shipping discount. You will be charged the normal shipping fee to re-ship the package. If a refund is requested, due to a return or refusal of delivery, then the normal shipping fee will be deducted from your refund. IN ADDITION, if any fee is imposed by the return carrier, this fee will also be deducted from your refund. If you wish to return a package or have any questions about returns, refusals or free shipping policies WE STRONGLY RECOMMEND you contact us first by calling 410-871-2498.
Please Note: Heavyweight items and orders of multiple gift packages may incur an additional shipping charge. We will send you an e-mail for your approval of any additional charge. In order to help keep our shipping costs as low as possible there may be instances, if the shipping address is west of the Mississippi, when we may ship certain gift sets unassembled if practicable. You will receive the bags, ribbons, etc. for assembly.
APO, FPO, AK, HI & PR addresses may incur a higher shipping charge. We will send you an e-mail for your approval of any additional charge.
We ship primarily with the US Postal Service and UPS. We require delivery confirmation and insure packages BUT after the carrier notifies us that they have delivered the package, it is no longer their or our responsibility. Please be sure that your package is being delivered to a safe location. If the package is stolen or somehow ends up missing after the carrier has recorded delivery confirmation, the package will not be re-shipped without a complete 2nd set of charges including the items and the shipping fees. There is no way to make an insurance claim after the carrier records delivery confirmation.
We are committed to 100% customer satisfaction. If you are not happy with any product* you can return it in new unused condition via carrier within 30 days of original purchase for a refund or exchange. *Opened food or cosmetic products are non-returnable, but we will accept all unopened food or cosmetic products. Large volume, custom, or special orders are not returnable.
All volume, custom, or special orders are accepted subject to the following conditions. The order must be paid in full at the time of ordering with credit card or check. Any order paid for by check will not be processed until the check has cleared. Should you decide to cancel the order, you must cancel within 24 hours of the placement of the order. If the order is not canceled within 24 hours from the time the order is placed, the order cannot be canceled and you are responsible for the total cost of the order. Volume, custom, or special orders are not returnable. We do not accept partial returns of unused items.

Availability & Pricing
All items are offered based on availability. Substitutions of equal or greater value may be made in any gift package, gift basket, gift box, or product collection. Prices are subject to change without notice. If an item ordered is out of stock, you will be notified by email.
6% sales tax will be added to all orders shipped/delivered to a Maryland address.
We accept Visa, MasterCard, American Express, personal or business check, or money order. If you would like to pay by check or money order you can print an order form here and mail to the address shown on the form. Checks are made payable to "The Maryland Store". Returned checks are subject to a $35.00 returned check fee and orders paid by check will not be shipped until the check clears.

When you place an order, the information we require on the order form is similar to what you would provide if you were ordering over the telephone or from a catalog. We ask for your e-mail address at the time of ordering to send you information about your order (such as tracking information). If we need to contact you about your order, it will be done by email.
